Using Steam, you can purchase Garry’s Mod and play it. The minimum requirement to play Garry’s Mod is Steam (from Valve). However, you will need to purchase and download (possibly) Counter Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2 for a lot of the textures and other game objects. Every server has their own custom content, and each server is different. This should make it so that you should never see an error on any server ever again, but no garuantees. When this "little gray box" goes away, you're all set! Enjoy never seeing an error again! After the "little gray box" tells you that all addons are done initializing (Should say something like "135 of 135 complete), it should go awayĦ. (You can keep track of this with the little gray box at the bottom-middle of the screen)ĥ. Let Garry's Mod sit there for ~5-10 minutes while it initializes all of the addons.
After you've launched Garry's Mod, DO NOT DO ANYTHING. After you've MADE SURE THE DOWNLOADS ARE DONE launch Garry's Mod.Ĥ. (You'll know when the content is done when the "Garry's Mod - Workshop Content" is completed)ģ.
